He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado at Denver, and teaches residents and medical students about Integrative Medicine in the office and via lectures at the University of Colorado. He is listed as one of the few 5-star family doctors in Denver Magazine as well. Dr. Grover completed additional Board Certifications in Anti-Aging Medicine and Integrative Holistic Medicine, giving him the skills for integrating cutting-edge modern medicine and complementary (alternative) therapies into patient care. He is writing a book, Spiritual Genomics, with hopes to publish it in 2017.
He volunteers his time researching innovative therapies for traumatic brain injury, and recently completed a trial researching the use of Transcranial NIR LED therapy for TBI wounded veterans (publication pending). He has future interests in studying this light therapy application for mild cognitive impairment and neurodegenerative disorders, and is involved in ongoing research with sound therapy. He served on the of Health Team Works board for almost a decade (formerly the Colorado Clinical Guidelines Collaborative), assisting them with innovative ideas in improving health care for Coloradans. Dr. Grover also enjoys volunteering his time internationally doing periodic medical volunteer work in Nepal since 1996.
He is passionate about the importance of mindfulness in health, and is currently developing a research protocol assessing the benefits of sound
therapy at Children's Hospital Colorado in Denver using a sound lounger he donated. Aims will be to assess whether reducing nurse and physician stress during the work day can improve patient
care. Eventually, he hopes to expand the therapy for patients in the oncology ward and heart center at Children's. He practices daily meditation and enjoys yoga and music to stay
Dr. Grover's approach is much more personalized than traditional medical practices. Shortest visits are 30 minutes, and he won't be looking at a computer screen unless he's going over labs with you. "I look for safe, functional, non-prescription ways to improve a patient's health and blend in modern medical therapies when needed. Dr. Grover enjoys applying therapies of the ancients. Sound Therapy (Vibrational Medicine) using crystal healing bowls (similar to Tibetan singing bowls), tuning forks, and also uses a sound therapy table with mantra music for those who are interested. He provides meditation counseling and teaching if desired, and encourages the application of sacred geometry in meditation. He’s an advocate of acupuncture, energy medicine and many other modalities connecting patients with healers in these areas on a regular basis, including some as far away as Peru.
