Common symptoms we can treat include:
1. Neuro-hormonal Balancing and Brain Health
At RevolutionaryMD, we recognize the importance lifestyle, mindfulness, diet, and balancing your body's complex neurohormonal system. The approach to treating depression is not simply a prescription for Prozac.
Dr. Grover's broad and extensive training in family medicine, integrative medicine, and anti-aging, restorative medicine give him the expertise to help balance the neuro-endo-immune system.
A Brief Overview of the Neurohormonal system
The coordinated interconnectedness of the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems is often overlooked in the traditional hurried practice setting. Nevertheless, your health is hinged on the existence of neurotransmitters, hormones, and cytokines, which are essential chemical signals that mediate the communication between the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems, respectively. We are here to help you do the detail work to find an imbalance that may be contributing to your condition.
The three axis:
2. Nutrition
Dr. Grover provides nutrition and exercise counseling for brain health and overall wellness including:
These services can be blended into your personalized brain health program with Dr. Grover.
3. Brain Blood Flow/Perfusion
As we age, blood flow can decrease to the small vessels (capillaries) of brain. This reduction in blood flow can be amplified by high blood pressure, diabetes, inflammation, hormone imbalance, nutrition imbalances, high cholesterol and other factors.
Dr. Grover may recommend Spect imaging or fMRI to evaluate your brain in a more functional means than a traditional CT or MRI. He has been applying transcranial near infra-red therapies in a recent traumatic brain injury study with impressive results for those that have demonstated reduced blood flow to focal or global regions of the brain. Following only 18 sessions, many have had improved cognition and marked improvement of blood flow on repeat Spect imaging. Learn more about our NIR therapies. Lifestyle recommendations including exercise, nutrition and hormone balancing will always be incorporated into your game plan. Read recent publication by Dr. Grover below. See pdf's.
4. Mindfulness and Stress Reduction
Numerous studies have shown how mindfulness can help improve brain health by reducing cortisol levels, enhancing brain wave activity and blood flow. An elevated cortisol level causes brain shrinkage (cortical atrophy). Dr. Grover can help you assess and address your stress to keep your brain healthy and big!
Brain Wave Balance Analysis (qEEG Brain Mapping)
In addition to a thorough medical, spiritual and brain health history, we recommend qEEG brain mapping for those that desire a more comprehensive picture of imbalances that may be present. We use the eWavi mapping system, a state of the art technology providing an in-depth analysis and guidance for assessing your brain health.
The recording takes approximately 15 minutes, and the remainder of time during a brain mapping session involves uploading, processing and reviewing the computer analyzed data to develop a personalized brain health game plan for you. Areas of potential cognitive and emotional problems typically associated with specific map profiles are identified by the program and strategies are discussed with you.
A full report will be provided to you during the consultation. It includes an easy to interpret dashboard of findings, and recommendations. Reports provided by other programs on the market are not easy for patients to follow, leading to patient and provider confusion. We recommend a brain map after completing a recommended series of recommended treatments so that you can visually see a before and after picture of your brain wave improvement, and improved symptom scores. You may also be recommened and referred for neurofeedback therapy depending on your results.
